This ceremonial grade matcha is well balanced and has subtle floral undertones. It comes from a tea farm in Kagoshima - a southern region of Japan. Volcanic soil and subtropical climate in Kagoshima creates a smooth and enjoyable flavor profile.

The aroma is fresh with a gentle sweetness, while the tea’s body is light to medium. The mouthfeel is smooth, without a sharp or bitter aftertaste.

With an abundance of sunshine and warm weather, Kagoshima plays a big part in giving this matcha its vibrant green color, as the leaves develop more chlorophyll during their growth.

We recommend our Original Blend for everyday matcha drinkers and it's our favorite matcha to use for matcha 'Americano' style, Usucha and matcha lattes. This matcha is stone-ground and packed in an air-tight container in Japan on demand, so that you can be sure to receive a fresh product.
